The Six Parts Seven

Heare ye...

Yes, they have been around awhile. Their latest offering, Casually Smashed to Pieces, shines with the shiny sheen of a blackoil-polished war shield, also prominently featured in the cover art.

Unlike most purely instrumental bands, the Six Parts Seven avoid the old "lure 'em in with silence, then crescendo to mayhem" scheme a-la Mogwai, Silver Mount Zion, Explosions in the Sky (all of whom I enjoy as well).

I am simply satisfied that the pedal lap steel comes forth more prominently on this album.
